Lluis Mather works extensively across the music education sector, and has worked in most levels of education: from teaching in primary schools and nurseries to delivering lectures at Conservatoire level. He is a visiting tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire, where he teaches jazz theory, harmony, ensemble classes and individual instrumental lessons for the Junior Department.

Lluis also directs many ensembles: he was the Director of the Birmingham University Jazz Orchestra from 2013-15, Artistic Director of THSH's Jazzing About programme, ran ensembles for GBRT music charity over many years (including two tours outside the UK), and is a regular frontman at Symphony Hall Birmingham's Musical Picnic series.

Birmingham Uni Jazz Orchestra

Lluis teaches individual lessons at all levels on saxophone (alto/tenor) and clarinet (Bb and bass). He also teaches harmony, jazz improvisation, and ensemble playing.
